We’re hiring baristas for our Kestrel Coffee Roasters café inside Burlington International Airport!
Our airport café is all about creating a welcoming, high-hospitality experience for travelers from around the world. We take pride in being friendly, professional, and detail-oriented — offering the same considered-yet-unpretentious service that defines all Kestrel cafés.
If you love connecting with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in doing your job well, you’ll fit right in.
Why join our team:
- $22–$26/hr starting pay
- No tips — just excellent, reliable hourly pay
- Room for growth and advancement within Kestrel
- Supportive, drama-free workplace with great communication
- Employee discount and paid training
Training & Onboarding:
New team members complete about two weeks of paid training.
- Training pay is $4 less per hour than your regular rate.
- Training begins with cashier and guest service fundamentals, then moves into our full coffee and café program.
- You’ll learn directly from experienced trainers who care about consistency, communication, and genuine hospitality.
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of customer-facing experience (retail, hospitality, or similar)
- Excellent communication and professionalism
- A positive, reliable, and detail-oriented attitude
- People who take pride in providing outstanding hospitality — not just great coffee
The Details:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Long-term positions only (not seasonal)
- Early morning shifts available (openers start at 3:30 a.m.)
Important:
Our café is located behind TSA security, so all employees must complete a ten-year fingerprint-based background check and Security Threat Assessment (STA) to receive an airport SIDA badge. This is a requirement of this position.
