Valley of the Chorti, Chiquimulas, Guatemala

Named after the indigenous Mayan people who spread through Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, the Chorti language is still spoken by around 50,000 people today. The rainy, cloudy region is filled with volcanic soil and ancient forests– the perfect setting for growing coffee.
